Founded in 1993, the Academy of Performing Arts has been at the heart of the Orangeville community. For over 30 years, we have been educating, inspiring, and connecting students through dance, drama, and the performing arts.

From our welcoming studio spaces to our educated and passionate faculty, the Academy is a place where creativity thrives and every dancer feels at home. Whether a student dreams of pursuing a professional career or simply loves to dance for joy, we believe in giving each dancer the same opportunity to learn, grow, and shine.

At the Academy, we Inspire our dancers to explore their creativity and passion, guide them to Dance by building strong technique and artistry, and support them in Performing, gaining confidence, self-expression, and personal growth through the experience.

Classes are designed to match each student’s level, ability, and dedication, ensuring steady progress while building confidence, discipline, and artistry. Advancement is based on individual growth, allowing every dancer to achieve personal success and take pride in their accomplishments.

The Academy is proudly led by Artistic Directors Suzy Stiperski and Maya Erwin, whose shared passion and creativity guide the studio’s vision.​ Suzy Stiperski is a respected performer, choreographer, and educator whose extensive experience has shaped generations of dancers. She continues to inspire students and teachers alike with her professionalism, passion, and love for the craft.​ Maya Erwin, a York University graduate with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography, brings a vibrant, contemporary perspective to the Academy. Having grown up within its walls, Maya’s journey from student to Artistic Director is a true reflection of the Academy’s spirit. Inspired by Suzy’s example, Maya is dedicated to continuing the Academy’s legacy while fostering creativity, confidence, and a love of dance in every student.
